I tried pyinstane but get error :

Pillow-4.0.0-cp35-cp35m-manylinux1_i686.whl is not a supported wheel on this platform.

tried all files.

And also tried SANE and my printer is showed with this command: sane-find-scanner

but nothing with this one: scanimage -L

Thank you!

Armbian & Khadas are rewarding contributors

Hello !

Did you try or verify that Hplip is installed ?

https://developers.hp.com/hp-linux-imaging-and-printing/models/officejet/officejet_4500_g510g-m

note 3 : "Scan supported means that PC initiated scan using a SANE compatible software application is supported over parallel, USB, or network (depending on I/O connection)"

note 9 : "Device supports digital sending, not standard scanning protocols. See this KB article for more info."

I hope it will help you !

Read you !

Actually, I tried to install it from the hp website and I had a lot of problems, so I managed a good installation with it:

apt-get install hplip

and now i can use sane to operate my scanner.

Thanks.
