Hi,

I have a question regarding standard DNS server entry in resolv.conf:

The Google DNS 8.8.8.8 is at the top followed by the one supplied by my DHCP service. That way the Google server will be queried first, which I think is wrong, considering privacy implications. Why is it hardcoded anyway? As I understand it, it comes from /etc/resolvconf/resolv.conf.d/head? this should not include anything.

Would be nice If somebody could clarify why it is implemented that way.

Thanx

thanks @fm0 !

i was searching for hours why there was a "nameserver 8.8.8.8" in my /etc/resolv.conf.

You just saved me some more hours i guess.
