  1. I have some things to report though: After fresh installation of the text variant using btrfs /swapfile was marked "Copy-On-Write", setting the attribute alone didn't help, so I needed to clean and re-init the swapfile: swapoff -a truncate -s 0 /swapfile chattr +C /swapfile fallocate -l 512M /swapfile mkswap -U clear /swapfile mkswap /swapfile swapon /swapfile Then the kernel log is flooded with messages of evbug, a module that apparently isn't usually used for general purpose. in /etc/fstab the entry of the EFI partition lacked the actual UUID value, it only said UUID= vfat .... Then I saw this error, described in here, probably nothing you can do about it, seems Wifi-driver related: https://lore.kernel.org/netdev/87bkxn4kpf.fsf@toke.dk/T/ Will install Cinnamon now ;)
  2. Sorry, I had apparently a download problem and that on both the text and the GUI variant simultaneously. I only noticed when I tried to flash it with etcher, which didn't like the xz file. Now it boot natively and from Ventoy! Perfect.
  3. Thanks for answering, need to do some more investigations, I have the feeling I did something wrong on my side.
  4. I second @SoSie. Being able to keep Armbian on my Ventoy stick which I have always on my keyring... would be perfect. I'll try to figure it out. Can't be too difficult.
  5. Sorry, it appears that just my eMMC was full, never realized that this could cause this kind of errors.
  6. Unfortunately I seem to no be able to change to the above mentioned kernel ?! cat /tmp/switch_kernel.log linux-image-legacy-sunxi64=21.02.3 linux-u-boot-nanopineoplus2-legacy linux-dtb- legacy-sunxi64=21.02.3
  7. I happen to have similar problems (ssh sessions suddenly "gone", only recoverable by power-cycle with a 35% chance that it comes up.) I connected a serial console and got some kernel errors, so I saw, eg. during boot, those errors show up at the after the same [OK] lines, I suspect this to be a kernel problem as well. I could supply more information if guided. /To [ OK ] Started udev Kernel Device Manager. 8. I don't know clockworkmod (rather only in Android Recovery context to which you're obviously not referring). But google for "wvdial" or "modemmanager", depending on your HW you don't even need this. wvdial is shell based, while modemmanager integrates into the GUI with NetworkManager (don't know which repo you are using, or whether it's available in Armbian repos at all!). On the other hand if you're not scared by the shell you could also achieve the same using chatscripts and pppd which are very legacy linux packages. Some of the sticks, like the E3372 will even provide you a network interface which will not require any serial/QMI/WMI handling. Plug it on, use your browser to configure it (eg. navigate to 192.168.4.1 or similar) by entering APN + PIN code, ready. They can even run on a mobile charger and provide a WLAN-AP....
