  1. Hi @hexdump, i have a Leovin HK 1 Max (RK3318 4GB / 64GB) I have good computer skills but I don't understand anything about programming/compiling/decompiling/etc., I tried to do what you wrote but unfortunately without success. I tried flashing several images of Armbian without being able to start anything from sd... following your post the device boots with the sd inserted ... but in android! I would like to be able to boot Armbian and then install it on the emmc ... can someone give me some advice? Thanks so much! Beppe
  2. Just discovered your post @mkosta! I have a Leovin HK 1 Max (RK3318 4GB/64GB) and tomorrow i try to booting armbian using your instructions. Many thanks, Beppe.
  3. Thanks for your suggestions @dbsharpe! I asked not why it really needs but only because it fascinates me to see how well Linux runs on devices such as TV boxes. Maybe could use one as a mini PC for the internet, office, music ... obviously not demanding jobs. Thanks, Beppe.
  4. Thank you @dbsharpe! I tried some dtb, I managed to get the ethernet to work with the meson-gxbb-odroidc2.dtb file, wifi does not work and sometimes some services won't start at boot but okay anyway, I only use it as proxy and vpn. Any advice for buying an cheap TV Box that has good compatibility with armbian? Many thanks! Beppe.
  5. Hello everyone! I have an old MiniMX (1GB Ram /8GB Rom) on which I started the latest @balbes150Armbian from SD. Basically it perfectly recognizes all the hardware (Even the wifi) but strangely not the ethernet. The dtb used is meson-gxbb-p200.dtb Anyone have any advice? Many thanks to all! Beppe.

    Lakka

Probably off topic, but I would just like to understand if maybe someone can give me a direction in which to look. Does anyone know if it is possible to run Lakka on an RK3328 TV Box (specifically MX10 4/64)? Thanks if someone can give me some info! Beppe.
  8. Hi @balbes150.... I've done it!!! I found out what the problem was ... it's nonsense that has nothing to do with your images and your work. In practice Armbian has always started ... both from SD and from USB, only that (I don't know why) it did it using a resolution not suitable for my monitor ... that's why the screen remained black and I thought it didn't boot ! With LE, for example, the resolution was correct ... I don't know why ... so I said to myself: If it boots with LE and when I also put the USB with Armbian it no longer does the problem could somehow be the screen ... in fact, changed the monitor started on the first try, both with SD and with USB. What I don't understand, however, is why in the past, on the same monitor, it started at the right resolution and now not ... Anyway, I thank you infinitely for your patience and your time, I apologize again if I made you lose it with my attempts. You are doing an excellent job! Thank you! Beppe
  9. On mine I had problems completing the configuration wizard ... I couldn't complete it ... I saw the buttons but they didn't have the text ... I clicked them and it didn't go on ... now I tried to rewrite the image and this time I managed to complete it and now everything seems to be working properly.
  10. Since nothing works for me I'm trying everything ... so I also tried with the toothpick, I know that there is no method for this on RK3328 but I tried anyway ...
  11. Hi @balbes150, I tried everything ... specific images for rk3328, those all in one, usb method, toothpick ... nothing... no boot. While I was trying a bit of everything on another forum I have found a post from you which I came here: https://yadi.sk/d/8vNYuuxynz1L0w/20200410-aarch64/rk%2Baw%2Baml and I downloaded this image: LibreELEC-ARM-ALL.aarch64-9.80-devel-20200410165853-92efcc1-rk3328.img With this I can boot! I start LE which then turns out to be practically unusable, however at least it boots ... somehow I think I have to start from here to get to install Armbian. Are there other Armbian images I could try to use? Do you have any other advice? Thanks for everything @balbes150! Beppe
  12. Hi @balbes150, unfortunately i can't boot... I have writed Armbian_20.05.0_Rk3328-tv_buster_current_5.6.0-rc4_20200312.img to my SD Then writed u-boot-rk3328-mvr9.img But nothing... Tried also with USB method, but nothing... I don't know what to do Beppe.
  13. Hi @balbes150! I understand, but I only managed to boot from that LE I told you about, but I can't boot from Armbian to be able to install it. I need to understand how to boot Armbian. Thank you! Beppe
  14. Hi @balbes150, yes, i'm sure... double checked. I wish to install into eMMC Thank you @balbes150!
  15. Hi @balbes150, so I went back to Android 8.1 stock, I didn't have much time to try in depth but I managed to boot correctly (from SD) with your version of LE, to be precise this image: LibreELEC-ARM-ALL.arm-9.80-devel-20200331100230-569f834-nanopi-k2 that I downloaded from here: https://yadi.sk/d/8vNYuuxynz1L0w/20200331/rk%2Baw%2Baml How would you advise me to proceed now to install Armbian? Thank you very much! Beppe.
  16. Hi @balbes150... I am very sorry for making you waste time ... I have been updating Android a few months ago, but being the stock firmware I never thought it could create problems.... I apologize again. I have no idea how to get a UART output ... if I try to go back to the previous firmware would I fix it? Thank you very much for your effort, Beppe.
  17. Hi @balbes150, no, i don't have any system that actually work on my MX10... i have a microSD with an adapter, and i have tried to write image from another PC and consequently from another sd card writer just to see if that can be the problem, tried also the sd + USB option but nothing... The only thing that has changed since it worked is that the tv box has been (Officially) updated from Android 8.1 to Android 9 ... could this be the problem? Thaks for all @balbes150!
  18. Hi @balbes150, i have done exactly what you told me but no success, attached my screenshots and uEnv.txt uEnv.txt
  19. Hi @balbes150, i have waited from 2-3 minutes up to 20-30 minutes just to see if something happen, if can help, my monitor tell me that is out of range... I don't remember the exact image name but in the past i have used many images from this thread without hassle yesterday i have tried also one of this images but without success, i also have tried LE from the above thread, no success What are the differences between these images and the new unified images? Are those still being mantained? It's frustrating... Thanks again!
  20. Hi @balbes150 thank you again but... here is what i've done: Downloaded and writed to SD this image Armbian_20.05.0_Arm-64_bionic_current_5.6.0-rc6_desktop_20200328 (I've used dd command) Downloaded u-boot-rk3328-tv.img and u-boot-rk3328-mvr9.img and tried each one (the only two i could find related to rk3328), after writing the armbian image, with the two commands you gave me Configure uEnv.txt to use the right DTB as per instructions Still i've had no luck.. i get a black screen and the tv box's led remains red. What else can i try? Thanks again Beppe
  21. Thanks @balbes150, I don't have a working SD card, as i overwritten it. My point is that i can't understand the 5° point of the instructions in the first page: I don't get what do i have to do. Do i need to add the u-boot to the sd card? Before or after writing the armbian .img file? But how do i do it? Is dd fine? Which one do i have to pick, and how do i decide which one? Why do i have to use both USB and SD when i always only used the SD card? Can't i just use the sd card by flashing the Armbian .img as i always did? I do apologize for asking so many question, but i can't get through it.. Many thanks Beppe
  22. Hi @balbes150 thank for your reply, i have never booted or even installed Libreelec... i have used your older images of Armbian (the images before the unified version) and booted always and without problem from SD
  23. Hi All, I've tried to install the latest unified images on my tv Box (MX10 4/64GB) which is a Rockchip 3328, following the instructions, but i couldn't manage to. I installed it several times without any issue before images got unified, but since then i am having issues installing it. Here's what i'm doing. 1 - Downloading Armbian_20.05.0_Arm-64_buster_current_5.6.0-rc4_desktop_20200323.img.xz 2 - Unpacking the zip 3 - Flashing the Image on the SD card (Using etcher, or similar tools) 4 - Edit the uEnv.txt file as per instructions (you can find my file in attach) Next step of the instruction is to add the correct u-boot to the SD card, but i don't understand what actually this means. I'm missing the actual instructions to add this u-boot file. Here's what i've tried so far: - Downloading the u-boot file from https://yadi.sk/d/lTbXkrmZN5Hf6g (but which one do i have to download? as of now i tried u-boot-rk3328-mvr9.img) - Write it on the SD card using dd (i'm on Linux) - Re-update the uEnv.txt file with correct info as it appears to be overwrited (see attached) Now, i plugin the SD card into my Tv Box and power it on, but i only get a black screen (I don't know if it actually booted or not). I just can't get it to work. Can you please help me out? What am i missing? Are the above steps correct or not? Regards & thanks, Beppe uEnv.txt
