  1. Yeah I ended u coming across this... Good thing I was still dual booting and hadn't installed onto the EMMC. as I simply erased the sdcard and started from scratch. On another topic thread I think someone mentioned it would probably be better practice if softy was just an interface to install the software listed via docker. This would obviously make the packages listed in softy easier to uninstall and cut down on the topics related to the issue.
  2. Hi All, Ive installed docker via the arbian-config -> Softy option but I don't see the option to remove/uninstall software Upon trying to remove the software (root) via apt-get/dpkg, I get an error that docker is not installed. What is the procedure for removing software install via Softy? Board: T95Max+ ArmbianVER: Armbian_20.05.1_Arm-64_buster_current_5.6.2_20200408
  3. This is true and rules made to be broken but only after carefully plotting the most efficient way of not getting burned! Since I'm fairly new to how this ecosystem is configured, I figured instead of wasting cash on a possible paper weight I might as well, take the long route learn inner workings and then take the calculated risk.... I do see that you are very active on the forum also, so I'm sure you to will be playing a unbeknownst role in my understanding of Armbian on Android based Tv Boxes !
  4. Okay, Considering Balbes150 is a well known and has various Armbian builds on the forum, I figure I'd play it safe and follow one of the guides posted. Thanks Fellas!
  5. Jock, Would the "draconian" method work with a T95max+ an Amlogic S905X3 device? If so what steps are needed?
  6. Hi Guys, I'm no developer but I figured is throw a couple ideas out there! Would it be possible to retool this Android based installer to Install Linux? https://github.com/amarullz/AROMA-Installer it maybe something worth looking into. It would allow the Dev to release one installer and give the user a straight forward way of installing updates/upgrades. (See XDA Link below) https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1461712 It may also be possible to write a USB/SD boot script that scans the android file system during boot-up and downloads the necessary files to the USB/SD and then continues the installation via a "net-install". Any additional updates/upgrades like the kernel (if needed) would have to be pulled from the internet via a script pointing to the vendor's proprietary blobs.
