@Igor thank you very much for your reply I totally understand community maintained nightly builds may break, and really appreciate the amlogic tv boxes still are very useful with armbian, saviour of hardware for sure! It must have been a recent change, let me know if you have any troubleshooting tips i forgot to capture the logs but when apt upgrading the Linux aml-s9xx-box 6.18.53-current-meson64 box i remember seeing "hash sum mismatch" for the kernel updates I've restored the 6.18.53 box with a microsd backup image created with gnome-disk-utility the restored box no longer gets the "hash sum mismatch" because the kernel updates do not get detected
