  1. Very interesting, make sure you provide some updates.
  2. Title says it all- mine is an off site Syncthing server for a few Gbs of pictures and records.
  3. I did some benchmarking with my Orange Pi Zero connected to my gigabit router. To my Windows Server PC I can get transfers around 85-100MB/ Sec, Banana Pi server ~30-35MB/sec. Same 1.3gb file to the Orange Pi Zero - 5MB/Sec. Pretty disappointing for a NAS device..Still will probably use it to run an offsite syncthing node for a few gb of family pics.
  4. Interesting idea, but not all that excited by the Fast Ethernet 10/100 only for NAS type applications. I think the minimum at this point should be 1000mbps for a NAS type device. For me - I dont think Id go to the trouble and $$ of putting an mSATA on there...
  5. Have a Samsung Evo 32gb microsd card, I believe the error did occur during the apt-get upgrade part of the install. I did fsck the sd card on my laptop and no errors found I set it up so long ago and it was so stable I dont remember much of what I had to do...Looks like I copied the sdcard to the hdd for booting too.. Luckily all data is on the HDD but Id like to learn to fix it if possible to increase my linux knowledge, PCs arent my day job - medicine is... Since I copied the "OS" from the sdcard to the HDD, could I somehow just go back to boot from the SD card?
  6. I had a similar bad crc error after I was updating my working banana pro with the Micro Home Server install script. The installation of Syncthing failed, and on a reboot after the system froze, it said the same as what his does..
  7. Hey all, Have been using my Banana Pro w/ Armbian & a 1tb HDD as a Micro Home Server w/ Bittorrent Sync/Samba Shares/Webmin. I attempted to install Syncthing from the install script and it errored after saying "package cant be opened" It became unresponsive to commands. I powered it off then on again and it says "Bad crc error" at boot & seems to find its dhcp IP but hangs.. Google searches havent helped me resolve the issue, thanks.
