Desktop image of armbian 5.14

Hi!
I love this Linux distribution, I have tried some months ago and had worked very well.

Now, I want install armbian in a pdduino3b, I go to "downloads" select pcduino3, and I have two options:

Xenial_server_vanilla and Xenial_server_legacy.

I want hardware acceleration and most options of drivers and compatibility possible, so, I go for legacy option.

But I realize that the two images have not a desktop environment, this is true?

If yes, where can I download the full newer armbian version with legacy kernel and desktop ready?

I try install xcfe over legacy image, but I have found for errors like "screen not found" and others...

Regards.

Yes, they are command line only. We are cutting down number of prebuild images  so we provide more versions only for most popular boards. But we are working on desktop packaging which means, that upgrade from any CLI will be simple. With all accelerated, 3D engine functionality and our fixes. Until then, you need to use build tools and do it on your own. I don't know when this upgrade pack will be ready to use, currently it's under development.

Normal, non accelerated desktop upgrade should work but I never done this on Ubuntu Xenial, yet.

Thanks for you dedicated work! I appreciate it very much.

Excellent.

The image boots well, I am connected by hdmi, although some errors appear:

[FAILED] Failed to start Light Display Manager.
See 'systemctl status lightdm.service' for details.

Finally I try login as root, but the 1234 password does not work.
It has a different password this image?

Finally I try login as root, but the 1234 password does not work.

It has a different password this image?

No. Perhaps you are doing this classical problem at first login.

user: root
password: 1234
repeat: 1234
New: 999999999999
repeat new: 999999999999

Than you will be prompted to create a user. If you fail, it will reboot until you don't do it.

Than desktop should go up.
