Armbian on an Amlogic TL1 T962X2 X301

Hi, I have a board (x301) that contains a T962X2 (which is supposed to be like a 905x2 but for smart TVs?)

 

I am trying to boot armbian, but I cannot manage to make anything load the DTB I obtained (tl1-t962x2-x301-2g.dtb) thru dumping the android boot partition.

 

Since a t962x2 is supposedly equivalent to a s905x2 I thought I'd use a s905x2 uboot.ext and change the DTB, but even if I change it the old one is used...

How do I make u-boot load this dtb?

 

I tried with both balbes150 build and a build from here

But the u-boot logs keep referring to the previous device.

 

(I changed the fields in extlinux.conf - FDT and the commandline APPEND part, seems to have no effect).

You can't use an android dtb.  dtbs are kernel specific.  So a dtb coded to a vendor supplied android kernel isn't going to work with a mainline kernel.
