gen_t00 Posted October 15, 2022 Share Posted October 15, 2022 I recently came into possession of a Z69 Android TV Box (3/32GB) with a S950X chip. I tried @SteeMan's Amlogic guide, but can't seem to find @balbes150 files referenced in the post (only RK/Allwinner). I then tried compiling an Armbian img from https://github.com/ophub/amlogic-s9xxx-armbian (build jammy; s905x; kernel 5.10.135_5.15.50). I tried amending the config file but found it quite different from the ones in youtube videos or on the forums. There was a "u-boot-s905x-s912.bin" which I renamed to "u-boot.ext". However, when I did the toothpick method, the S905x bootscreen came up, followed by the splashcreen of the android box. The screen was black for a while and then it booted into the normal android OS. The black screen seemed longer than when I booted the machine without pressing the reset button. I'm rather confused and just can't seem to find the right files from the guides.
