Marcaay
Hi, I was successfully installing the "Armbian_23.02.0_amlogic_s912_jammy_5.15.96_server_2023.02.27.img.gz" image to the eMMC of my new alived Android TV box "Vorke Z6 Plus". Now, it is running as my Linux server for OpenHab and working fine. The "Vorke Z6 Plus" has a small LCD Display which usually shows the text "boot" if its booting in Android system and then showing the current time + some other information. With Armbian it shows continiously the text "boot". Here a general picture of the box (no, this is not my box, but a picture from the web, to show how the box looks like): I'm interested, if it is possible to change the display behavior (disable it or showing another fixed text) in Armbian or Linux with shell commands? Thank you for helping in advance. Marc
SteeMan
Let me first say welcome to Armbian. Second I want to point you to this basic information: https://forum.armbian.com/topic/16976-status-of-armbian-on-tv-boxes-please-read-first Finally, I've never looked into trying to do this, and I don't recall any recent forum discussions on this. There might be something if you searched through the forum archives.
Marcaay
Thank you for the provided information. The "search" doesn't provide helpful information, so I posted this. I understand the limited support and I am happy to got the Armbian running on my TV Box. This box wasn't used anymore and I'm very happy to be able to upcycle it for a new function as Linux Server. So, the solution is to use a black sticker over the display 😄
thegonlymaster
Greetings. Is there a possibility to print something else on the screen? For example ip address, clock, temperature, cpu usage, or text?
