Odroid N2+ SPDIF Audio

Hi Everyone, 

 

I'm trying to get audio out of my N2+ via SPDIF on the 7 pin header, or any gpio pin if necessary.

 

So far I have confined my SPDIF output works with the official Odroid MATE image, and also that I can get audio out via the 3.5mm jack on armbian after flowing this post . 

 

I have tried to understand the amixer wizardry but no luck achieving anything so am a bit stuck as I would really like to use armbian over the Odroid image.
