Catsci Posted July 10, 2023 Posted July 10, 2023 (edited) Hello all, Orange Pi 5b v1.1 16GB/256GB # Wi-Fi 6 and WPA3 are not available options in current Debian Cinnamon release. # OP 5b does have these features so comparability isn't an issue. # Works fine with Orange Pi images. # All steps given on download page were taken. Help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Edited July 10, 2023 by Catsci spelling error 0 Quote
Solution Catsci Posted July 11, 2023 Author Solution Posted July 11, 2023 (edited) I didn't really find any solid answers on this. I switched to the Gnome variant and everything is fine. It actually resolves a couple of issues I'm having. I don't love the Gnome desktop environment but I needed the faster connection for the intended purpose. I switched to Gnome for now so I can move forward. So, I guess that's solved... EDIT: I wanted to mention that that the Cinnamon desktop, it self, is great. I would still recommend it for someone that isn't as worried about Wi-Fi speed and security. Not being afraid of config files would also help. I still have this tucked away on an SD card. I'm hoping to get everything resolved with it at some point. Thanks for your time. Edited July 11, 2023 by Catsci I wanted to add something. 0 Quote
