Alon djboy
Hi, I have a probox2 S905X3 I tried to flash it a while back and it bricked, recently I got a serial adapter and attempted to get some data this is the output SM1:BL:511f6b:81ca2f;FEAT:A0F83180:20282000;POC:F;RCY:0;EMMC:800;NAND:82;SD?:20000;USB:8; LOOP:1;EMMC:0;READ:E;READ:800;READ:800;SD?:20000;USB:8; LOOP:2;EMMC:0;READ:E;READ:800;READ:800;SD?:20000;USB:8; LOOP:3;EMMC:0;READ:E;READ:800;READ:800;SD?:20000;USB:8; ..... As far as I can understand it looks like it is not booting and has some kind of read error, I tried to boot while holding down the reset btn w/wo usb/sd card, but I get the same result. Can I do anything? Thank you.

SteeMan
6 minutes ago, Alon djboy said: Uboot/Get Result/ Disk initial error Does the tool connect, see your box? and allow you to choose your android firmware image file to upload? What options are you choosing during the burn?
Alon djboy
The tool connects i'm using version 2.1.8 Erase flash (normal erase) Erase bootloader The image i'm using was sent to my by the suport of the device and has worked on another identical device.
SteeMan
If you can connect and the firmware upload starts but fails and this works on another device, I think you have faulty hardware.
Alon djboy
Is there any way to boot from usb/s card insted of the nand?
c0rnelius
If its completely bricked you should be able to short the unit and force it into USB mode. From there you can use either Linux or Windows to re-flash the vendor firmware. I would google the box you have and see if someone else has already done this and if nothing found, do a general search for ideas of where to look. "tvbox short emmc pins" Example: Tin foil seems to work best, but a small flat head will also do the trick.
