xalu Posted February 17, 2017 Posted February 17, 2017 Howdy, I set up a new OrangePi Zero with the Legacy 3.4.113 Ubuntu Xenial. I was able to get wifi working however when I try to do a sudo-apt get update or upgrade it freezes and crashes. I am using a 32gb Samsung Evo. Cpu temp is hovering around 57 C with no load. Any tips besides reinstalling the image?

Check your power supply (that means: PSU and especially the cable between PSU and board -- always remember that Micro USB is crap to power anything needing more than a few mA) and also SD card. If you run 'stress -c 4' and board also freezes/crashes then you suffer from undervoltage or sometimes undercurrent To check your SD card you can issue the following below (2nd step only if installation survives first step) armbianmonitor -c $HOME sudo armbianmonitor -u Insufficient power supply leading to freezes/crashes might then be responsible for a corrupted filesystem on SD card and from then on when strange things happen it might be either or
