palmatown Posted February 22, 2017 Posted February 22, 2017 Hello, I just updated my pcduino3 nano with armbian mainline 4.9.7 download on SD card and now the onboard ethernet port fials. I am using a USB to ethernet for now with no problems. Below are the messages I get during boot Feb 22 14:35:23 localhost kernel: [ 2435.162554] sun7i-dwmac 1c50000.ethernet: Failed to reset the dma Feb 22 14:35:23 localhost kernel: [ 2435.168668] stmmac_hw_setup: DMA engine initialization failed Feb 22 14:35:23 localhost kernel: [ 2435.174517] stmmac_open: Hw setup failed I have tried several times to reset via cli and NetworkManager with the same results. ip a & ip link show as down seen in ifconfig but not able to change state I am guessing the fix wil need to be during boot. Anyone run into this? Thanks for any help here! Dave
palmatown Posted February 23, 2017 Author Posted February 23, 2017 SOLVED - I had downloaded the PcDuino3 instead of the PcDuino Nano image. Ethernet interface came up fine! Sorry for any confusion. 1
Nickb333 Posted February 24, 2017 Posted February 24, 2017 SOLVED - I had downloaded the PcDuino3 instead of the PcDuino Nano image. Ethernet interface came up fine! Sorry for any confusion. I had a similar issue with my 3B which is a 3 with GBe. That needed the nano image. Did you try legacy on yours? I had issues with high cpu load which is why I switched to mainline.
Solution palmatown Posted March 7, 2017 Author Solution Posted March 7, 2017 Soory for the delayed response on this I was away for a bit. I used the mainline image as well with no problems.
