Hi

For years I run Armbian on a cubieboard2 in order to have a pi-hole in my network. Now I want to update it to a newer version (the current nickname seems to be focal) and run into problems. I wonder whether someone can lend me a hand.

ta-@cubieboard2:~$ sudo apt update
[sudo] password for ta-:
Hit:1 http://ports.ubuntu.com focal InRelease
Hit:2 http://ports.ubuntu.com focal-security InRelease
Get:3 http://ports.ubuntu.com focal-updates InRelease [114 kB]
Hit:4 http://ports.ubuntu.com focal-backports InRelease
Ign:5 http://fi.mirror.armbian.de/apt focal InRelease
Err:6 http://fi.mirror.armbian.de/apt focal Release
  404  Not Found [IP: 2a01:4f9:3b:4943::2 80]

N: Updating from such a repository can't be done securely, and is therefore disabled by default.
N: See apt-secure(8) manpage for repository creation and user configuration details.

I don't know enough about this error message to fix it. I understand a certain mirror doesn't exist anymore but that's where my understanding ends. Can I add to my sources.list perhaps to fix this? Currently it looks like this

ta-@cubieboard2:~$ cat /etc/apt/sources.list
deb http://ports.ubuntu.com/ focal main restricted universe multiverse
#deb-src http://ports.ubuntu.com/ focal main restricted universe multiverse

deb http://ports.ubuntu.com/ focal-security main restricted universe multiverse
#deb-src http://ports.ubuntu.com/ focal-security main restricted universe multiverse

deb http://ports.ubuntu.com/ focal-updates main restricted universe multiverse
#deb-src http://ports.ubuntu.com/ focal-updates main restricted universe multiverse

deb http://ports.ubuntu.com/ focal-backports main restricted universe multiverse
#deb-src http://ports.ubuntu.com/ focal-backports main restricted universe multiverse

Thanks!

The Armbian repository has moved focal to EOL.  That only means you will no longer receive any updates for the Armbian specific packages (like kernel, uboot, etc).  Ubuntu still supports Focal for a couple more months so you will still receive any package updates that Ubuntu releases for userspace packages.  But in a couple of months that will end as well.  So you should be planning an upgrade to something more current as focal is now 4 years old.
