g40 Posted September 1, 2017 Posted September 1, 2017 Any help much appreciated. Having something of a battle getting the GC2035 working with an OPI One. TAIA.
eggert Posted September 6, 2017 Posted September 6, 2017 I did not find the schematics either. Have you tried to reverse engineer it from the board? This is my plan as soon it arrives, at least if it works... I want to design my own board, since I need an other form factor, and from the pictures it seems quite simple. Thorsten
g40 Posted September 11, 2017 Author Posted September 11, 2017 Hello Thorsten No to reverse engineering. And the camera (connected to an OPI One) seems unwilling to work at anything better than VGA resolutions. By comparison the FriendlyArm OV5640 based module is a paragon of stability and quality, a much better bet IMHO. BR
eggert Posted September 12, 2017 Posted September 12, 2017 Hi, my module arrived, but your VGA is better than mine... I just got nothing til now )-: Did you get a OV5640 working on an Orange Pi? An other idea is to have a look into the Orange Pi plus schematics. the plus does not need the extension board, so it seems to be integrated... The filename is : orangepi-plus-h3-v1_1.pdf greetings Thorsten
g40 Posted September 29, 2017 Author Posted September 29, 2017 Hi Thorsten, No. It was simpler and more productive to use the NanoPi Neo Air and M1 boards. The FA CAM500B module works pretty well with the patch included in the legacy Armbian build. BR Jerry
@lex Posted September 29, 2017 Posted September 29, 2017 Don't try to use FA OV5640 on Opi Extension , you will possibly damage the sensor. The pins are not compatible.
