yacc Posted December 25, 2015 Posted December 25, 2015 Hi! Just wondered, if it would make more sense to use zram instead of a SD-card based swapfile by default? Andreas
wildcat_paris Posted December 25, 2015 Posted December 25, 2015 Hello Andreas, I think on the mainline kernel (&ubuntu) something like zram-config can be used zram is configured to take precedence over sdcard swapfile in swap gr@bpi:~$ swapon -s Filename Type Size Used Priority /home2/swap file 1953120 0 -1 /dev/zram0 partition 102548 356 5 /dev/zram1 partition 102548 388 5 http://packages.ubuntu.com/wily/zram-config
zador.blood.stained Posted December 25, 2015 Posted December 25, 2015 The only problem is - some kernels don't have zram enabled, some do - but as a module, so enabling it by default would require changing kernel configs at first.
