Igor
Huh. Are you sure you are using kernel 3.4.108 ? uname -a In kernel 4.x we have yet another module: brcmfmac
potz
Yes, I think so: root@bananapi:~# uname -a Linux bananapi 3.4.108-banana #16 SMP PREEMPT Wed Aug 26 06:29:23 CEST 2015 armv7l GNU/Linux But I tried to load this module and this is possible, but no Wifi can activate. Igor
Aha, are you using correct script bin? Is this in place? [sdio_wifi_pro_para] sdio_wifi_pro_used = 1 sdio_wifi_pro_sdc_id = 3 sdio_wifi_pro_mod_sel = 7 ap6xxx_wl_regon = port:PH22<1><default><default><0> ap6xxx_wl_vdd_en = port:PH27<1><default><default><0> [usb_wifi_para] usb_wifi_used = 1 usb_wifi_usbc_num = 2 Do a test with latest build on a separate SD card with only Wifi enabled. Perhaps on board wifi doesn't work together with LCD / I2S ? It's possible.
potz
Yes, it seems. I renamed the bananapipro.bin to script.bin an copied in the boot-directory. I tried a lot... ;-) Thanks! Andi I have to go working now. Maybe more in the evening.? Thanks!
Igor
We'll get to the bottom of this somehow Sadly I don't have Banana PRO around to recreate exact scenario, only the original one. Until later.
potz
Igor, thanks! How can I help? At first I can buy one or two SD-cards more today for testing. Sorry because my English is not so well und I'm a linux newbie! Andi

Switch configuration from banana to bananapro, reboot, load wifi driver. Than proceed with adding hardware and functionality. Ok. I want to do it correct. How should I switch the configuration? I'm not realy sure. Sorry! Rename and save the script.bin in \boot, take the bananapipro.bin from \boot\bin and copy as script.bin to \boot ? A. Igor
None. Leave bcmdhd with /etc/modules and please provide full boot log. Maybe we could see something odd there. Change loglevel=1 to 9 in boot.cmd too.
potz
Hello Igor! That sounds not so positive. I have to prepare an UART-cable-connection to my PC to log the full boot sequence, right? Ok., I can do that. So I can save the UART-output into a txt-file. That's it? How can I change the loglevel in boot.cmd? Is it a text-file, or with a linux command? Sorry, I'm not at home and the BPro isn't here. I'm busy until tommorow evening. Thanks!A.
Igor
Yes, just post full boot sequence. edit /boot/boot.cmd alter loglevel and console=ttyS0,115000 save and convert mkimage -C none -A arm -T script -d /boot/boot.cmd /boot/boot.scr Take your time. No rush.
potz
Hello Igor! I'm back! I catured the boot log in different kinds. I think the last one (V3) is the best, because editing "console=tty1" to "console=ttyS0,115000" produced a lot of rabbish in the terminal window. So I changed the loglevel from 1 to 9. <\0><\r> <\n>U-Boot SPL 2015.07-dirty (Aug 26 2015 - 06:24:24)<\r> <\n>DRAM: 1024 MiB<\r> <\n>CPU: 912000000Hz, AXI/AHB/APB: 3/2/2<\r> <\n><\n><\r> <\n><\r> U-Boot 2015.07-dirty (Aug 26 2015 - 06:24:24 +0200) Allwinner Technology<\n><\r> <\n><\r> CPU: Allwinner A20 (SUN7I)<\n><\r> I2C: ready<\n><\r> DRAM: 1 GiB<\n><\r> MMC: SUNXI SD/MMC: 0<\n><\r> *** Warning - bad CRC, using default environment<\n><\r> <\n><\r> HDMI connected: EDID block 0: checksum error, retrying<\n><\r> EDID block 0: checksum error, retrying<\n><\r> EDID block 0: checksum error<\n><\r> Setting up a 1024x768 dvi console<\n><\r> Error: no valid bmp image at 66000000<\n><\r> In: serial<\n><\r> Out: vga<\n><\r> Err: vga<\n><\r> SCSI: SUNXI SCSI INIT<\n><\r> SATA link 0 timeout.<\n><\r> AHCI 0001.0100 32 slots 1 ports 3 Gbps 0x1 impl SATA mode<\n><\r> flags: ncq stag pm led clo only pmp pio slum part ccc apst <\n><\r> Net: eth0: ethernet@01c50000<\n><\r> starting USB...<\n><\r> USB0: USB EHCI 1.00<\n><\r> USB1: USB OHCI 1.0<\n><\r> USB2: USB EHCI 1.00<\n><\r> USB3: USB OHCI 1.0<\n><\r> scanning bus 0 for devices... 1 USB Device(s) found<\n><\r> scanning bus 2 for devices... 1 USB Device(s) found<\n><\r> scanning bus 1 for devices... 2 USB Device(s) found<\n><\r> scanning bus 3 for devices... 1 USB Device(s) found<\n><\r> Hit any key to stop autoboot: 2 <\b><\b><\b> 1 <\b><\b><\b> 0 <\n><\r> 6944 bytes read in 211 ms (31.3 KiB/s)<\n><\r> switch to partitions #0, OK<\n><\r> mmc0 is current device<\n><\r> Scanning mmc 0:1...<\n><\r> Found U-Boot script /boot/boot.scr<\n><\r> 1822 bytes read in 251 ms (6.8 KiB/s)<\n><\r> ## Executing script at 43100000<\n><\r> ** File not found /boot/.next **<\n><\r> ** Unrecognized filesystem type **<\n><\r> 50612 bytes read in 607 ms (81.1 KiB/s)<\n><\r> 5606288 bytes read in 626 ms (8.5 MiB/s)<\n><\r> Kernel image @ 0x48000000 [ 0x000000 - 0x558b90 ]<\n><\r> <\n><\r> Starting kernel ...<\n><\r> <\n><\r> <6>Booting Linux on physical CPU 0<\n><\r> <6>Initializing cgroup subsys cpuset<\n><\r> <6>Initializing cgroup subsys cpu<\n><\r> <5>Linux version 3.4.108-banana (root@kitchen) (gcc version 4.8.2 (Ubuntu/Linaro 4.8.2-16ubuntu4) ) #16 SMP PREEMPT Wed Aug 26 06:29:23 CEST 2015<\n><\r> CPU: ARMv7 Processor [410fc074] revision 4 (ARMv7), cr=10c5387d<\n><\r> CPU: PIPT / VIPT nonaliasing data cache, VIPT aliasing instruction cache<\n><\r> Machine: sun7i<\n><\r> <6>Memory Reserved:<\n><\r> <6><9>SYS : 0x43000000 - 0x4300ffff ( 64 kB)<\n><\r> <6><9>LCD : 0x44000000 - 0x44ffffff ( 16 MB)<\n><\r> Memory policy: ECC disabled, Data cache writealloc<\n><\r> <6>sunxi: Allwinner A20 (AW1651/sun7i) detected.<\n><\r> <7>On node 0 totalpages: 262144<\n><\r> <7>free_area_init_node: node 0, pgdat c0a7bb40, node_mem_map d0000000<\n><\r> <7> DMA zone: 512 pages used for memmap<\n><\r> <7> DMA zone: 0 pages reserved<\n><\r> <7> DMA zone: 65024 pages, LIFO batch:15<\n><\r> <7> Normal zone: 1008 pages used for memmap<\n><\r> <7> Normal zone: 128016 pages, LIFO batch:31<\n><\r> <7> HighMem zone: 528 pages used for memmap<\n><\r> <7> HighMem zone: 67056 pages, LIFO batch:15<\n><\r> <6>PERCPU: Embedded 8 pages/cpu @d0808000 s8256 r8192 d16320 u32768<\n><\r> <7>pcpu-alloc: s8256 r8192 d16320 u32768 alloc=8*4096<c><\n><\r> <7>pcpu-alloc: <c>[0] <c>0 <c>[0] <c>1 <c><\n><\r> Built 1 zonelists in Zone order, mobility grouping on. potz
Sorry! It seems, I pressed a false key on the keyboard.? Ok., that's the log. The last lines can be the result of KVM-switching to the pc. Is this helpful? Thanks! A.
Igor
I guess the problem emerge because we removed the duplicate driver (Lemaker's) from the source. Now FEX need some adaptations. I hope I do it correctly (if not there are few combinations to tests): - edit bananapro.fex and remove sections: [sdio_wifi_pro_para] [usb_wifi_para] than add this: [wifi_para] wifi_used = 1 wifi_sdc_id = 3 wifi_mod_sel = 7 wifi_power = "" ap6xxx_wl_regon = port:PH22<1><default><default><0> ap6xxx_wl_vdd_wn = port:PH27<1><default><default><0> [usb_wifi_para] usb_wifi_used = 0 usb_wifi_usbc_num =

Igor
Hard step: we need to double check GPIO numbers and get this done trough FEX configuration. It should work but I don't know why it's not working. Easy step: add apxxx driver back to source and recompile the kernel. Necessary step: try wifi with some other / stock / older image that we can rule out hardware defects.
