Repository for v4l2request hardware video decoding (rockchip, allwinner)
I confirm I got my Orange Pi Zero 3 playing hardware decoded videos: * armbian official, built with the EDGE kernel 6.13.11, xfce environment * followed all the instructions in the first post of this thread * connected to a 1080p LCD monitor with HDMI * MPV plays a 1080p video with frame "tearing" with a window 800 pixels height. CPU usage 25% in all 4 cores * 720p video can be resized to almost full screen, but then it suffers tearing when resized larger. 10% to 15% CPU usage. * with all videos, when I try to play full screen, MPV plays the video every other frame, and shows a static frame (the frame that was showing when I double-clicked for full screen) -

FriendlyElec CM3588Plus NAS - nvme's overheating (75C)
@Sirmalinton Are you sure this could be the reason? I have NVME's with btrfs running with following options in fstab defaults,noatime,nodiratime,compress=zstd,nodiscard,max_inline=0 And temperature is quite acceptable (see screenshot below). I had initially set up my NAS is the standard metallic case which was quite useless. So I got a 3d-printed one with a fan on the top to keep everything cool. See my post in another thread https://forum.armbian.com/topic/48705-cm3588-overlay-for-fan-speed-change/#findComment-214042. Now I don't have to worry about the temperatures at all. I must also mention that my NVME's have heatsink attached. -

Orange Pi 5 Ultra
We provide mainline based kernels via repository. They are up2date with what exists, but support is not complete and also not tested on this particular hardware. -

A couple of basic questions on image customization
I did see that script. I disabled CGROUP_SCHED by commenting it out. I don't think that is the "right way", but it worked for now. -

A couple of basic questions on image customization
There is another feature of framework, "armbian-kernel", sections that applies on top of (basic) configs: https://github.com/armbian/build/blob/main/lib/functions/compilation/armbian-kernel.sh#L205-L336 (Docker as example)
