Hi there, I'd like to understand the best way to handle updates on Armbian… My OS is: odroid ) uname -a Linux odroidxu4 5.4.225-odroidxu4 #22.11.1 SMP PREEMPT Wed Nov 30 10:55:16 UTC 2022 armv7l GNU/Linux odroid ) lsb_release -a No LSB modules are available. Distributor ID: Debian Description: Debian GNU/Linux 11 (bullseye) Release: 11 Codename: bullseye And APT says: The following packages have been kept back: linux-dtb-current-odroidxu4 linux-headers-current-odroidxu4 linux-image-current-odroidxu4 linux-u-boot-odroidxu4-current The habits tell me to update however the experience taught that I could breaking something, some packages are on hold for a goodreason... What do you recommend? Thanks in advance 🙏 F.

  4. Dear All, I don't have much experience with the eMMC, and I wonder if I can flash this image: Armbian_22.11.1_Odroidxu4_bullseye_current_5.4.225.img.xz directly into the eMMC through Etcher, or do you recommend DD instead? Thanks... 🙏
  5. When I read carefully the faq I found the answer... My fault... 😣
  6. Hi there, I have been using Ubuntu stock from Hardkernel but it is worse than a kick upon my jewels... As usual only Armbian is the way to go, however I personally dislike Ubuntu therefore I'd like to go with Debian but I didn't get the difference between CLI and Minimal. Can anyone advise me? Thanks in advance, F.
  7. Hi folks, this is my first thread here, I just recently came aboard since I found that Armbian is the better solution for my Odroi-HC4 therefore I won't insist on checking for info and solution on the Odroid Forum. I am not very satisfied with Hardkernel, they produce excellent board with very poor OS support, looks like such critical aspect is left on the shoulder of a couple of great dudes but is not same as having a community behind; also board as the RPI demonstrated that a great OS support is better than having the most powerful hardware, is the same lesson learned by Rock64 even though I won't user Manjaro not even under torture... 😜 Armbian might a great asset for Hardkernel, never understood why they are so reticent... 🤷‍♂️ Thanks! F.
