Greetings, Currently running a low cost rk322x-box as self hosted webspace and another s905x-box as low budget network attached storage, serving files from a usb-attached hdd over smb and sftp. While both systems are operational, I would like to have this mini itx radxa to taste the power of rk3588 which is one of top performing cpu on the sbc world. Will be performing more transcoding with more cpu power.

Update: this box is now running Linux 6.6.17-current-rockchip Dtb applied: overlays=emmc led-conf7 The cpu speed is now capped at 1 GHz with better stability and hdmi output works (via usb to hdmi viewed on another laptop using ffplay). Excelent. Installed sway and lima gpu is being utilized. But before I can access the lima gpu, I have to add my login to render group. `sudo usermod -a -G render $LOGNAME` Well done!

Got no success compiling rtl8723AU driver from the mentioned pull request inside linux 6.3.8 source tree with arm gnueabihf toolchain 11.3 from developer.arm.com website. The source driver is attached. Any help is appreciated. rtl8723AU-pr24.tar.gz

I don't have a clue, but the driver used within Android os is 8723as. Here is the photo of wifi chip. Great. There is still a hope to get this 8723as wifi chip works within Armbian.

Hi, guys. Finally got mxq4 Fleco booting with Armbian, but the internal wifi chip (r8723as) is not working. The wifi chip is identified as 02c4:8723. No hdmi output with hdmi-to-usb device. Didn't test other hdmi devices. Overlays applied: emmc, led-conf2. Leds are working, with blue led shining when the device boots with Armbian. Tried patching the kernel to add the device id to r8723bs driver with result the interface wlan0 without the ability to bring up the interface. Someone has done this similar work before. Attached is the dts from Android tv, kernel 3.10 and system diagnosis information. device-tree-mxq4k.dts

I have been using armbian for almost 2 years on two devices. The first is amlogic s905x based p212 and the other is rk322x board mxq pro r29. I have been running an instance of youtube-local on the amlogic box and very impressed with the stability of the box after several days of use. The mxq r29 comes later with its own issue, notably there is no output on hdmi when using Looking forward for this giveaway for my upgrade fro the Amlogic board.

Recently stumbled into this issue on Armbian Bullseye 22.05.3 with khadas-vim1-bsp-cli package installed. Actually, it is not a real Vim-1 but another cheap amlogic s905x box. The apt search slowness is fixed by emptying /etc/apt/20-armbian-compress-indexes , removing files inside /var/lib/apt/lists and re-running apt-get update I keep /etc/apt/20-armbian-compress-indexes instead of removing the file in case a future system update will bring back its contents. Hopefully this will help somebody who stumbles upon this issue in the future.
