  1. ► Speculation ahead! I think Raspberry Pi sales are stagnant, so... if you want to sell more hardware related to IoT and GPIO, you need to expand your customer base: Pi Orange, NanoPi,...
  2. I propose to add a little nuance: never buy an Orange Pi board before they have an armbian in supported status https://www.armbian.com/download/?device_support=Supported
  3. Thanks @KY69 today is in offer so I can purchase the 4GB RAM +16GB ROM unit even cheaper (28,90€ right now) .... but I want the smallest possible box ... hard to decide!!!
  4. Any chance of running ARMBIAN in this box? ► https://www.cnx-software.com/2018/12/19/mx10-mini-cheap-android-9-tv-box/
  5. Check this post in Spanish (you can translate in the bottom ) https://raspberryparatorpes.net/rivales/rivales-raspberry-pi-orange-pi-pc/ https://raspberryparatorpes.net/rivales/rivales-raspberry-pi-orange-pi-pc-2/ https://raspberryparatorpes.net/proyectos/optimizar-videos-para-ipad-en-plex/ Kind regards.
  6. Is only for residents in Spain and is not a huge prize but if you want an Orange Pi Lite with Allwinner H3 SoC go to my blog: https://raspberryparatorpes.net/sorteo/sorteo-orange-pi-lite/
  7. OPi PC 2 is around 23€ including ship cost to my country. But for my is a huge upgrade from OPi PC Gigabit and cpu extensions made the difference.
  8. Finally Canonical launches an official Ubuntu 18.04.1 LTS (Bionic Beaver) Beta for Raspberry Pi 3 boards http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/releases/18.04/beta/ Maybe is interesting to check the repos.
  9. OK, thanks. I'll check and try to know what's happening.
  10. Nice to see adafruit recommending armbian in his projects: https://learn.adafruit.com/circuitpython-on-orangepi-linux/initial-setup
  11. First at all, I'm running in an unsupported Android TV, Sunvell R69 with ARMBIAN 5.67 user-built and kernel 4.14.81. the question is, after running some exported X application launched from remote CLI, I find an entry for every launched app in the file system: ~ $ df -h Filesystem Size Used Avail Use% Mounted on ... ... overlaid 1.2G 20K 1.2G 1% /run/user/1000/firefox-esr overlaid 1.2G 20K 1.2G 1% /run/user/1000/epyphani overlaid 1.2G 20K 1.2G 1% /run/user/1000/chromium overlaid 1.2G 20K 1.2G 1% /run/user/1000/vivaldi I can umount all, but all entries reappear after reboot the system without launching the apps.
  12. Old Sunvell R69 just boot with proper microSD card (in my case boot directly with Toshiba Exceria but not but with Samsung or Sandisk). I'm using images shared in Google Drive from this post Sunvell R69 with Allwinner H2+ Running ARMBIAN 5.67 with kernel 4.14.81 from internal eMMC HDMI at 1080p 24fps Wi-Fi OK, Ethernet OK
  13. Did you read my post about microSD card ... my Sunvell is the old model, but only boot with some microSD and do nothing with others. With Samsung I can boot directly but if I boot to Android and reboot, the Sunvell goes to Armbian in microSD.
  14. NTFS is not a good idea with Raspberry Pi. I have many issues related to file permissions and overload the system. If you can switch to a native Linux file system, like ext4 or btrfs, you can achive better results and performance. Also, I kindly recommend using OSMC as Kodi better than OpenElec. Y si eres de Málaga que haces preguntando tan lejos pudiendo preguntar en un sitio perita como mi blog!!! https://raspberryparatorpes.net/
  15. Is pretty old ... but this week I give a second chance to my Sunvell R69 and with new kernel from here and never boot on Sandisk microSD card ... but works really perfect with Toshiba Exceria 16GB white color https://www.toshiba-memory.com/es/products/toshiba-microsd-cards-exceria-m302/ So @guidol maybe trying a different brand or micrSD cards works.
  16. Luca cómprate un MXQ cualquiera por ejemplo y tendrás triple boot sin problemas gracias a las imágenes de @balbes150 Luca buy some MXQ for example and you will have triple boot without problems thanks to the images of @balbes150 The triple boot works like this: you modify the Android TV boot so that it checks the SD slot, the USB and finally the internal eMMC. Once this is done, if you turn on the computer with an SD or USB with the image of Armbian prepared by @balbes150 will be the partition that boots and from it you can choose Kodi or Linux Desktop, and if you do not place the SD then starts the Android serial. 17. The board is completely different from mine unit. http://linux-sunxi.org/Sunvell_R69 The pictures in Linux Sunxi page are mine. So, maybe not only the color and form factor are changed.
  18. You can check a two years old video recorded with the Orange Pi One at the same time I do some test. Firefox have some issues unresolved with ARM so you can't use today.
  19. I have images for this board, next week I try to find and share with you.
  20. With armbian is easy to install openmediavault (OMV) using the commnad and inside OMV is trivial to install Plex Server. This blog is in Spanish but maybr you can reach the installation with a little help of Google Translator ► using armbian-config to add OMV https://raspberryparatorpes.net/comandos/configura-tu-armbian-con-armbian-config/ English auto translated https://translate.google.es/translate?sl=es&tl=en&js=y&prev=_t&hl=es&ie=UTF-8&u=https%3A%2F%2Fraspberryparatorpes.net%2Fcomandos%2Fconfigura-tu-armbian-con-armbian-config%2F&edit-text= ► adding Plex Server to OMV https://raspberryparatorpes.net/plex/servidor-plex-con-omv/ English auto translated https://translate.googleusercontent.com/translate_c?depth=1&hl=es&rurl=translate.google.es&sl=es&sp=nmt4&tl=en&u=https://raspberryparatorpes.net/plex/servidor-plex-con-omv/&xid=17259,1500004,15700022,15700124,15700149,15700168,15700186,15700190,15700201,15700208&usg=ALkJrhhryBGJJk90uizvZZrAFu61vYsqrw#
  21. Is in Spanish but maybe with traslantion or see snapshots you can reach the objetive: https://raspberryparatorpes.net/raspbian-2/raspbian-mate-instalar-mate-desktop-sobre-raspbian-lite/ The original work is taken from https://ubuntu-mate.community/t/how-to-install-a-minimal-mate-desktop-on-your-raspberry-pi/16077
