  1. @jockI would love if we can use it as a jukebox or something similar. I mean it should already work with spotify premium or something. I think there are already some scripts and software for unix environments like debian, but as I said we need to priorise the sound that this is not lagging at least. - With my S912 (CSA93, 3GB RAM, 32GB ROM, 1GbE unfortunately with AP6212 non working wifi at least for me atm) i can also try to play HD-Videos. They are also laggy, but the sound is working. - I just can't tell you if it's just the HDMI-sound or also the 3,5mm jack and SPDIF-interface.... @fabiobassa: Here are my wifi-wireguard performance-messurement: root@rk322x-box:/etc/wireguard# iperf3 -c 10.66.66.2 -t 5 -i 1 -P4 Connecting to host 10.66.66.2, port 5201 [ 5] local 10.66.66.1 port 55028 connected to 10.66.66.2 port 5201 [ 7] local 10.66.66.1 port 55030 connected to 10.66.66.2 port 5201 [ 9] local 10.66.66.1 port 55032 connected to 10.66.66.2 port 5201 [ 11] local 10.66.66.1 port 55034 connected to 10.66.66.2 port 5201 [ ID] Interval Transfer Bitrate Retr Cwnd [ 5] 0.00-1.00 sec 1.16 MBytes 9.71 Mbits/sec 1 64.1 KBytes [ 7] 0.00-1.00 sec 1.25 MBytes 10.5 Mbits/sec 0 98.9 KBytes [ 9] 0.00-1.00 sec 1.23 MBytes 10.3 Mbits/sec 1 64.1 KBytes [ 11] 0.00-1.00 sec 1.07 MBytes 8.94 Mbits/sec 1 74.8 KBytes [SUM] 0.00-1.00 sec 4.70 MBytes 39.4 Mbits/sec 3 - I mean the major thing is that we get something like Hardware-NAT like (SFE or NAT-Offloading in OpenWRT) to work with these devices, but even without that hardware-nat I expect from a machine with 4x1200 MHz something like 200 Mbit/s - 300 Mbit/s at least for wireguard! With the old TP-Link WR841 I got already around 40 Mbit/s via Ethernet from LAN<->WAN with a very slow (but very little power consumpting) 400 MHz Single-Core Atheros-Chipset. I will also do a messurement via cable if you want, but I don't expect less than the maximum speed of the ethernet port. If you have slow speed I actually expect your ISP slows it down. - Maybe change the ListenPort of your VPN. - I test everything just via INTRANET to minimize the outside trouble. I just use the wireguard interface IP's for the messurement and forces the traffic to get through it. 3. Thanks for your comments! I can provide you later the informations of your comments if it helps. I flashed now your newest Ubuntu Desktop image and used the profile Rk3229 Mars Profile. This actually worked out and I can also use wifi with the ssv6051 chipset. Beside my FritzBox I can reach 72 Mbit/s and I think that's the maximum with this 1x1 hardware. Iperf3 measurement to my Gigabit Iperf3 Server showed up with a maximum Rx Rate around 35-40 Mbit/s and Tx of around 15-20 Mbit/s. With the 100 Mbit/s Ethernet I can reach around 90-95 Rx and TX. Unfortunately the sound is lagging and crackling if I try to play radio from a web page or YouTube. - So I still don't see a useful browser desktop scenario with the device... But I'm quite happy for now and will start trying to test wireguard performance soon. The major problem with the former image disappeared now of course and didn't show up even after the newest apt update && apt upgrade. So far my highest respect and thank you for your great development steps you did already with this little bitchy rk3229 devices... For me it feels at this stage about the same performance as the rpi 1 b I used before. The rpi 2 still performs a bit more smooth, even when already all 4 cores of the rk3229 work at 1200 MHz on this device.
  4. Did you use the remote control in multitool oder used an extenal USB-Keyboard? It just works to select with external keyboard. So do you see the GPL or does the screen go black?
  5. @fabiobassa: Indeed it is an RK3229 device with 1GB/8GB and NAND-Storage with SSV6051 wireless chipset. 6. I have a ssv6051p chipset This is exactly my device So, now I tried the following profiles which don't bring up the device again: rk3229-box-a95xr1 rk3229-box-v884k rk3229-box-hk1mini The only profile which worked out (but without wifi) is rk322x-box (Generic RK322x TV Box board) and now I am a bit bored of waitng after new NAND-flashing after each failure and I guess the NAND-flash doesn't like to get programmed so often before it finally breaks at some point. I also thought about to try Android 8.1 from the link in my post, but would love to get both working Android 8.1 and Armbian. My device has 1GB RAM / 8GB ROM. Maybe the "...mxq-..." profiles could work or the "...modelx", but I am slowly a bit scared about new flashings.
  7. Hey, I got the same message: root@rk322x-box:~# cat "/sys/bus/mmc/devices/mmc1:0001/mmc1:0001:1/modalias" cat: '/sys/bus/mmc/devices/mmc1:0001/mmc1:0001:1/modalias': No such file or directory Actually I tried to adapt the Device-tree with: sudo rk322x-config and tried v884k box since I have a V88mini4k. The device hasn't boot again. So I reflashed to NAND again the legacy-kernel-Ubuntu-image. Any ideas if it's the rk322x-box profile or the rk3229-scishion-modelx? Can you provide some summary which profile is used for which chipset? - With my box the wifi didn't work at the first boot. There is a wifi-symbol in the corner, but it does not find any wifi-networks there. UPDATE: I used now the rk322x-box (generic profile) and the desktop environment bootet again. Playing an H264-1080p file was lagging like the GPU-accellerating is not working. - So I guess either with the profile a problem or in general with the GPU-accelleration. In the first post it said GPU accelleration is working with leagacy-kernel 4.xx So any ideas how I get wifi/bluetooth and GPU-accelleration working?
  8. Great work! @fabiobassa @Maker39 and @jock biggest thanks on earth for the development and that you still hang on finding solutions for NAND boards! Please keep on developing and I think the boards are better choices than raspberry pi's... How is the performance with your images and do we really get gpu acceleration for videos? Is it working with h265 too?
  9. Edit: I made a Iperf3 test. 12. @balbes150 Thank you for your unique great work! I think also it's a great idea to unify the images and just to replace in uEnv.ini the dtb filename to the correct ones! I used the file Armbian_19.11.5_Aml-g12_bionic_dev_5.5.0-rc4_20191228.img.xz for using it on my CSA93 S912 Amlogic device with 3GB DDR3 and 32GB ROM. The Chipset for Ethernet works! I used aml_autoscript in Android-Update-Firmware-Manually then it just started till the Tiger S912 Logo and hung. After replacing in uEnv.ini the FIRST line to: "dtb_name=/dtb/amlogic/meson-gxm-q200.dtb" then it booted! It seems like meson-gxm-q200.dtb works for S912 devices with 1000 Mbit/s interfaces. Here is my dmesg: So the driver for RTL8211F Gigabit Ethernet works on 100 Mbit/s and 1Gbe/s nearly perfect! I did an iperf3 messurement from PC and Banana PI. From BananaPI the performance was ~800 Mbit/s RX/TX and with my PC the CSA93 performed to 950 Mbit/s RX/TX. Problems: - No sound - No Wifi. I guess it's the problem of ath10k, but thought it's already officially implemented in the newer builds (I have a Qualcomm QCA9377 in my box) - Boot partition is formated to FAT16 and just 256 MB. I can't resize with another system because it says it has to change into FAT32 then and maybe the bootloader doesn't like that. - Reason for this is, that I wanna use wireguard and when it comes to installation it says no space left on boot partition. Actually there is no space left of the 256 MB and it seems to be impossible to extend the size without damaging the fs. Would love if you have some hints how to proceed!
  13. Hey Igor, thank you very much for your answer. I tried what you suggested and ended up to set up the whole system new. Now I bought a Banana Pi M2+ with 4x960MHz. After long research I noticed that an iperf3 measurement achieve directly from the device through my wireguard tunnel nearly the gross bandwidth of 34 Mbit/s and when I route over the M2+ the bandwidth drops to 10 Mbit/s. Here is the measurement from my device which is routed to the m2+ If you measure straight to M2+ it transmits in both directions around 82 Mbit/s and that is OK because of a 100 Mbit/s switch in between. I also tried it straight with 1 Gbe but the transmit through the tunnel is still 10 MBit/s average. The interesting thing is in the first second of measurement it's also 31 Mbit/s, second is 0 and then it continues which 7 to 10. It is so annoying and strange....
  14. Hi Igor, thanks for your quick and nice response. Unfortunately I am not able to compile by myself. I guess the problem is something which is easier to fix. With this variations of latency noone can use wireguard for any useful services. So I guess there is am easier solution. With my old TPlink Wr841 the same wireguard link works fine and with constant latency. Unfortunately if there is load the router is to slow to keep the low latency, so I thought best idea is let routers simply be routers with proprietary software nowadays and take powerful Arm devices for wireguard tunnel and routing the traffic through. Anyway, how can we find the root cause of the latency problems? I have more informations if it helps Edit: I guess it has something to do with the governor and the CPU profile. I tried changing it from ondemand to performance and conservative. Also I tried changing the frequency to 912 MHz minimum and 960 MHz maximum. Nothing changed with the ping times... root@bananapi:/# armbianmonitor -u System diagnosis information will now be uploaded to /usr/b n/armbianmonitor: line 385: read: read error: 0: Connection timed out /usr/bin/armbianmonitor: line 386: [: 46.8: integer express on expected http://ix.io/25P4 Please post the URL in the forum where you've been asked fo . root@bananapi:/#
  15. Hi, just noticed that with Banana M1 and wireguard something stragne happens... As described I just installed package wireguard-tools and built a wireguard tunnel. The ping variation is too high. Here is a log of Banana-PI-Tunnel: And the same time to same destination from my Ubuntu-Desktop-Wireguard-Tunnel: Both is without any traffic (beside ping) over the wg-tunnel. The Banana isn't overloaded. Just installed armbian bionic without desktop and first thing to try was the tunnel from clean setup. Also the MTU of the wireguard is set to 1300 for the test to prevent fragmentation. Any ideas what's wrong and how to get wireguard-dkms-package or low-latency-Kernels onto the Banana PI? I think there is a problem with priority and realtime of the wireguard-protocol.
  16. Hi, i have an CSA93 device with S912 chipset and AP6339 3GB DDR3 RAM and 32 GB Flash. It's this device: Link to explain which device I use Could someone tell me which .dtb file I need to use and if I can boot this device by SD-Card and/or USB-Sticks? Thank you very much in advance!
  17. Hi, is it possible to boot Armbian on Alfawise Z28 Pro 2GB/16GB from SD-Card without destroying Android on EMMC? If yes, could anyone provide the image for SD?
  18. Hi guys, As I see the subject of the topic was about the Aflawise Z28 pro Box with 2 GB RAM / 16 GB ROM and 1GBE. So could someone please update the current situation and tell how it is going or especially why it's more difficult to use the SD-card with this device. Thanks in advance guys. Edit: Hey guys, I found some Linux-Loaders for all Rockchip devices (RK3229, RK3328 and others). Maybe it helps you to find a good way to improve our devices http://www38.zippyshare.com/v/MQhd79D5/file.html
