  4. I have a orange pi pc (H3). I connected a thermal printer which has a TTL interface so I connected the TX wire from the printer to 8 and RX to 10 to orange pi. I change the serial port in my script to /dev/ttyS0 and tried a test print but it will not print. I have tried this in raspberry pi 2 and it works. Any tips how to connect the thermal printer to orange pi.

  9. I try to use acl but I failed to remount file system with acl if seams kernel compiled with disabled acl for ext filesystem. my fstab config: # UNCONFIGURED FSTAB FOR BASE SYSTEM tmpfs /tmp tmpfs nodev,nosuid,size=256M 0 0 /dev/mmcblk0p1 / ext4 acl,defaults,noatime,nodiratime,data=writeback,commit=600,errors=remount-ro 0 0 /var/swap none swap sw 0 0 and my check for acl in kernel config: root@orangepipc:~# cat /boot/config-3.4.112-sun8i | grep _ACL # CONFIG_EXT4_FS_POSIX_ACL is not set CONFIG_BTRFS_FS_POSIX_ACL=y CONFIG_FS_POSIX_ACL=y CONFIG_GENERIC_ACL=y CONFIG_TMPFS_POSIX_ACL=y CONFIG_NFS_V3_ACL=y CONFIG_NFSD_V2_ACL=y CONFIG_NFSD_V3_ACL=y CONFIG_NFS_ACL_SUPPORT=y It seams the analog audio out put dos't work too, I can't test it with speaker-test. It would be a great favor to recompile kernel with acl for ext4 and guide me about audio out put.
  10. Hi guys, I received 5pcs of Orange Pi PC recently. I prepared system for all of them based on 3.4.xxx kernel Jessie sever image. Every board with only wifi connection I cannot reach on network. I have started investigating problem and these Realtek dongles are showing up like 2 devices wlan0 wlan1. Wpa supplicant driver crashed during boot and there is some strange message in startup log about usb. I am at work now so I cannot post it but on development version I tested this morning is that wifi dongle working and successfully connected to network. Sent from my Redmi Note 2 using Tapatalk
  11. Hi all, I upgraded my jessie 5.05 desktop version for Orange Pi PC via "apt-get upgrade" to 5.10 without any issues. Now I noticed that the green status LED blinks twice every ~0.5s after first reboot. Can anyone figure out the meaning of this?? Thanks in advance.
  12. Is there anyone who can give me some examples or description how to work with I/O, SPI, I2C, UART, TCP, and so on in Armbian (for example C code)?
  13. Hello, how to enable analog tvout? I have OpiPC board with legacy jessie desktop armbian image. I added module tv in /etc/modules. I change script.bin with: [disp_init] disp_init_enable = 1 disp_mode = 1 screen0_output_type = 3 screen0_output_mode = 10 screen1_output_type = 2 screen1_output_mode = 11 fb0_format = 0 fb0_width = 0 fb0_height = 0 fb1_format = 0 fb1_width = 0 fb1_height = 0 [tv_para] tv_used = 1 tv_dac_used = 1 tv_dac_src0 = 0 But there is no signal at all... I checked tvout with loboris ubuntu image (added "tv" to /etc/modules and fixed script.bin) and my tvout worked well. I noticed that when ubuntu image is loading tvout already gives to me black picture signal, even tv module swiched off. So i think that in armbian image tvout swiched off - on hardware level. May be you help me how to turn it on...
  14. TKaiser. If you install the Desktop version of Armbian 5.10 then the following list of codecs (containing h.265 with 8 bit but not 10 bit!) is available for HW accelerated decoding: http://linux-sunxi.o...ed_codec_matrix Is 8 Bit versus 10 Bit a limitation. Can the Orange Pi PC with Armbian 1.10 decode all HEVC 8 or 10 bit encoding to 8 bit decoding, or can it ONLY do 8bit encoded to 8 bit decoding? Seasalt

  16. Hi guys, Yesterday I updated my Orange PI PC with build 5.10. I want to build custom wifi driver using dkms. Dkms requires kernel scripts but scripts build fails with following error: root@orangepipc:/usr/src/linux-headers-3.4.112-sun8i# make scripts scripts/kconfig/conf --silentoldconfig Kconfig fs/Kconfig:287: can't open file "fs/fs_compat.kconfig" /usr/src/linux-headers-3.4.112-sun8i/scripts/kconfig/Makefile:33: recipe for target 'silentoldconfig' failed make[2]: *** [silentoldconfig] Error 1 /usr/src/linux-headers-3.4.112-sun8i/Makefile:493: recipe for target 'silentoldconfig' failed make[1]: *** [silentoldconfig] Error 2 make: *** No rule to make target 'include/config/auto.conf', needed by 'scripts'. 17. Hello, this is my first topic on the forum. Please forgive my English is poor. I use Orange Pi PC, version Armbian_5.05_Orangepih3_Debian_jessie_3.4.110, with a patch to kswapd0: CMA-linux-image-sun8i_5.07_armhf.deb from this: https://github.com/igorpecovnik/lib/issues/219 SD card is: SanDisk microSDXC UHS-I 64GB speed up to 48MB/s (write speed in OPi is over 20MB/s). I have a problem that when writing to the card. For example, downloading a file by multiple instances wget. The SD card stops responding and crashes Opi. Only helps to disconnect the power supply. The card is new and fully operational. When I connect the monitor displays the following message: Please help. Thanks.
  18. So i'm using Orange Pi PC with the latest armbian desktop image. I've noticed this issues: -Booting takes a long time with wifi adapter (realtek 8188etv), stucks at "lsb raise network interfaces" for 2 minutes, than continues -Browsing shares via thunar results in this error -No chrome/midori in repos ?
  19. Hi, am new on orangePI, Hope my question is not to dumb. I am using the Armbian_5.05_Orangepih3_Debian_jessie_3.4.110.raw image. Kernel is Linux orangepipc 3.4.110-sun8i #18 SMP PREEMPT Tue Mar 8 20:03:32 CET 2016 armv7l GNU/Linux I want to access a serial device connectet to the pins 8 and 10 on the GPIO connector, described at uart 3. /dev/ttyS0 is the 3 connector pin close to the power plug. there is no /dev/ttySn with n>0 and the /dev/ttyGSn are also not the ones to use. How can I create the right device? Same about the IR receiver, Is there any device that represents the IR receiver? Are there modules to load? thanks a lot for help
  20. Hello, Did not start Orange Pi PC Armbian_5.10_Orangepih3_Debian_jessie_4.6.0-rc1 graceful on the Microsd and trying to start it. It is a serial TTL and HDMI are not so thin air conditions. from RC Nice in this recognition within the range of the bug? My best regards.

  24. Hello, I was tweaking the dvfs table on my OrangePI PC to find the maximum efficiency sweet spot. I noticed that no way I change the dvfs table, the maximum frequency is always 1296 Mhz. This is the very simple dvfs table I'm using now: [dvfs_table] pmuic_type = 2 extremity_freq = 1200000000 max_freq = 1200000000 min_freq = 480000000 LV_count = 2 LV1_freq = 1200000000 LV1_volt = 1240 LV2_freq = 480000000 LV2_volt = 980 but this is the result of an excerpt cpufreq-info command for cpu0: driver: cpufreq-sunxi CPUs which run at the same hardware frequency: 0 1 2 3 CPUs which need to have their frequency coordinated by software: 0 1 2 3 maximum transition latency: 2.00 ms. hardware limits: 480 MHz - 1.20 GHz available cpufreq governors: conservative, ondemand, userspace, powersave, interactive, performance current policy: frequency should be within 480 MHz and 1.30 GHz. The governor "interactive" may decide which speed to use within this range. current CPU frequency is 480 MHz. cpufreq stats: 60.0 MHz:0.00%, 120 MHz:0.00%, 240 MHz:0.00%, 312 MHz:0.00%, 408 MHz:0.00%, 480 MHz:72.35%, 504 MHz:0.00%, 600 MHz:0.03%, 648 MHz:0.02%, 720 MHz:0.00%, 816 MHz:0.00%, 912 MHz:0.00%, 1.01 GHz:1.66%, 1.10 GHz:0.07%, 1.20 GHz:1.52%, 1.30 GHz:24.33%, 1.34 GHz:0.00%, 1.44 GHz:0.00%, 1.54 GHz:0.00% (64) I don't understand why hardware limits are 480 Mhz - 1.2 Ghz but the CPU is allowed to do transitions up to 1.3 Ghz? Benchmarks confirm the CPU is running at 1.3Ghz as maximum frequency. I removed the 1296 Mhz reference from cooler_table and adjust it too, but nothing changed. Is there something I'm missing?
