  1. Hi all First of all Ciao to all the members of this forum!! I'm just moving from RPi to CB3, all new for me. I've booted up with latest version of Armbian (Armbian_5.10_Cubietruck_Debian_jessie_3.4.112) with a connected SSD. I dont' see it in fdisk -l and if I go with dmesg | grep -i sata I get [ 1.265800] ata1: SATA max UDMA/133 mmio [mem 0x01c18000-0x01c18fff] port 0x100 irq 88 [ 1.610672] ata1: SATA link down (SStatus 0 SControl 300) The cable that were inside the cubieboard package has two different power cables, one red/black and another yellow/black, and

  3. Hi, when I try to update my core the apt-get install operation fails. This is because the post-installation script creates a symbolic link as the boot partition does not support because she is fat. Also the boot is only possible with a uImage not zImage I think. To compensate I am forced to make a copy instead of the link.
  4. Hello, for a piece of advice, I have compiled kernel 4.6.1 for Lamobo-R1, USB is KO, I am switching back to 4.5.5 in the meantime.
  5. Hallo, with EXTENDED_DEBOOTSTRAP="yes" and ROOTFS_TYPE="nfs"my bananapim2 (jessie, next) has its / on /dev/nfs. After a few minutes it hangs with the error message: nfs: server x.x.x.x not responding, still trying To extend the timeout period I add timeo=30 (3 seconds) to nfs-boot.cmd. The result is: ubuntu:~# grep timeo userpatches/nfs-boot.cmd setenv bootargs "console=tty1 console=ttyS0,115200 root=/dev/nfs ${net_setup} rw rootflags=noatime,nodiratime,timeo=30 disp.screen0_output_mode=1920x1080p60 panic=10 consoleblank=0 enforcing=0 loglevel=6" # Banana Pi M2 root@m2-bare:~# j
  6. I keep my Lime2 updated with apt-get update/apt-get upgrade, but it does not upgrade the u-boot, that is still an old version: U-Boot SPL 2015.07-armbian-sun7i (Oct 11 2015 - 17:17:10) DRAM: 1024 MiB CPU: 912000000Hz, AXI/AHB/APB: 3/2/2 Because the network speed is not that fast, I suspect this could be solved with a more recent u-boot. How do I update the Lime2 bootloader to a recent u-boot without re-downloading an image and re-installing all my software and data? It looks like there is already a recent u-boot.bin file on the system... # ls -l /usr/lib/nand-sata-install/a20/bootload
  7. are the 1-wire modules built into legacy kernel ( 3.4.xx ) with debian jesse on an Olimex A20 LIME2 ( also the -SOM-4GB ) ? To use 1-Wire for DS18b20 temperature sensors on GPIO5 (from my fex file : gpio_pin_5 = port:PG04<0><default><default><default>) I added [w1_para] w1_used = 1 gpio = 5 to the aw_som_a20.fex file but I don't see any 1-wire modules or drivers loaded. I then used fex2bin ( in windows) to get the .bin file, copied it over and replaced the symlink from script.bin that was pointing to lime2.bin to point to my SSM_som.bin ( I changed the name of th
  8. Hi, I want to use my cubietruck to play the video in HD and with spdif pass-trougth and I want use mopidy. with last armbian jessie desktop : with mplayer2 : pass-trougth is ok but video is too slow with mpv : I heard a very loud noise at the output of the amplifier is not DTS decoding and is transmitted as the pcm.--> it is a kernel problem: the driver sends a sound that is not recognized by the amplifier. the SPDIF sound format is limited to 24 bits video is OK. mopidy is OK with last armbian xenial: it work because mpv is very old with mplayer2 : pass-through and vid
  9. Hi, I am trying to used Wifi on my Cubietruck, but I cannot get it running. 14. Hello I have a BPi-R1 with Igor's 3.2 image (http://www.igorpecovnik.com/2014/09/07/banana-pi-debian-sd-image/) that runs as a router (with pppoe) and nginx/php5/mysql config for my wife's blog and also with ez-ipupdate for dynamic dns I have a nasty issue... once every 2 or 3 days, my board freezes for no aparent reason It does this even if root is on SD card (only sd card connected) or HDD (I have a modified mSATA adapter to get power from 3,3V SATA power connector... I removed the 3,3V regulator and added a thick wire from the 3,3V provided by the board through the SATA connector) Also

  17. I copied the system from http://www.armbian.com/orange-pi-pcto a 8GB SD and installed it in OrangePi PC, which works OK withe some other distros. - No connection with SSH - No visual (The card HDMI might be broken. No visual with Raspbian either) - The LED lights up abt. 10sec after power-on on the board as well as the LEDs by RJ45 connector Tested with bot Jessie and Trusty. I inserted the Trusty card to my Linux Mint 17.3 laptop and edited /etc/network/interface.default. There is only local, no eth0. I wrote static address mantra there and tested, but no go. Fdisk told there is on
  18. Hello everyone, Please beg my pardon if the question might seem “stupid†but I searched quite a bit without finding a solution. I’m using the ARMBIAN version of Debian Jessie on my Banana Pro with a great dose of satisfaction and I have noticed that the message about “system status†which appears on the first SSH Login Screen after each reboot provides a very useful insight into my system. From my researches I think I have understood that this is called “MOTD†(message of the day) and it is supposed to appear only once per session. I would like to display this message every
  19. hi, I plan to turn my cubietruck IR gateway, and home theater controller. The first thing to do is to be able to decode any remote control can be used with lircmd. But when I use irrecord IRW returns do anything with some remote and works with the other. While in leaving the base configuration (infrared keyboard) there is always something to send. The sunxi ir-limited driver there are thee? The second point is to emit infrared to control my devices and there is little information that is partt LIRC_GPIO seems you abandoned. I watch the IR driver in the mainline kernel and I find tha
  20. Hi, I'm using armbian on my Cubieboard running from nand. I'm just curious how do you implement wear-leveling in this armbian on nand implementation on ext4? Thanks in advance. :)
  21. Hello, I have installed Armbian on my Banana M1+ and I have noticed „something“ strange in network communication. The network connector blinked rapidly even though nothing was running so I have installed iftop and found out this: iftop -i eth0 -NP Ankh-Morpork => a81.sub72.net78.udm.net Ankh-Morpork:51413 => a81.sub72.net78.udm.net:57855 Ankh-Morpork => ip70-118.245.80.crimea.com Ankh-Morpork:51413 => ip70-118.245.80.crimea.com:52026 Ankh-Morpork => adsl-225.37.6.247.tellas.gr Ankh-Morpork => ip5653f1a5.direct-adsl.nl Ankh-Morpork:51413 => adsl-225.37.6.247.te

  23. Hi, as I need to use an OS allowing me to have Cozy and Gladys (both node.js) on my router (using them it as server) I tried to use armbian for the first time. I sucessfully installed armbian on a SD Card and boot it. My BPi-R1 is not connected to a display or other periherals (keyboard / mouse). Because I do not have those materials I sold them. It is just connected with RJ45 and has a HDD connected on the SATA port. I then connected my modem RJ45 connector to my BPi-R1 on the WAN port. I connected my computer on the first port (near the WAN one). I saw my laptop do not get
