Rui Ribeiro
Hi, Was anyone able to use the watchdog in the Lamobo/banana pi r1? If not is anyone using some hardware that resets it/an hardware watchdog?
zador.blood.stained
A20 hardware watchdog is supported by both kernel families and should work if configured correctly. "dmesg | grep watchdog" on mainline: [ 3.448805] sunxi-wdt 1c20c90.watchdog: Watchdog enabled (timeout=16 sec, nowayout=0) How to configure it depends on your OS release.
Rui Ribeiro
Thanks Zador. Using Armbian/Debian 8. /dev/watchdog exists, so it is a matter of : sudo apt-get install watchdog and the take out the comment in the line watchdog-device = /dev/watchdog and then sudo service watchdog restart
zador.blood.stained
On Jessie alternatively you can configure watchdog in "/etc/systemd/system.conf", options "RuntimeWatchdogSec" and "ShutdownWatchdogSec"
Rui Ribeiro
Thanks, but I am no fan of systemd. I am pinning it to -1.
