I have this strange problem where suddenly my happily running armbian on orange pi plus stopped responding and since then it is not booting from external mmc with the following shown in console:

U-Boot SPL 2016.03-rc2-armbian (Mar 08 2016 - 20:00:37)
DRAM: 1024 MiB
Trying to boot from MMC

Internal mmc boots correctly with the image I have previously written there (not armbian).

As far as I can tell the sd card is good: checked for badblocks passed, can be mounted on other computer.

I'd like to debug it any further but I'm kind of out of ideas. Can anyone help me to move forward?
