vlotho Posted June 27, 2015 Posted June 27, 2015 Hello igor, do you know the same script but to build freebsd for cubietruck ?
Igor Posted July 2, 2015 Posted July 2, 2015 Sorry, don't know. If Google doesn't know it probably doesn't exists. I am not familiar with FreeBSD to say if it can be implement the same way as Debian/Ubuntu. In any case there is probably quite some work to be done.
Isotop7 Posted August 17, 2015 Posted August 17, 2015 @vlotho: you may take a look here. Support has gone very deep and i was able to boot into serial console last year (i dont know what its capable of now).
vlotho Posted September 13, 2015 Author Posted September 13, 2015 in fact, I wanted to install freebsd, in order to then patch the nas4free to run, but I just saw recently that there was now a version of nas4free for arm processor. cubietruck unfortunately is not (yet) supported.
Baos Posted March 12, 2016 Posted March 12, 2016 Netbsd works well with a bottleneck for sata speed. About 10% of the speed of armbian. FreeBSD will boot with the a20 kernel but lacks support for just about anything more than booting and logging in as it is intended for cubieboard2. ethernet also fails.
