armbian for pi hole on old s812 box

hello

 

have an old s812 box I was going to trash. I came across this forum. Its an m8s device with a m8_v8 motherboard, s812 cpu, and 1gb of ram.

 

i went through this post @ https://forum.armbian.com/topic/3023-armbian-for-amlogic-s802s812/

 

I think it is a clone with a m8v8 motherboard.

 

I can't figure out which one is the otg port of the two usb ports, or if i need to jump a resistor on that port by the usb port, etc. Amlogic flasher will not find it on a usb 2 or 3 port on ym pc.

 

Basically I want to load whatever version of armbian that works, and install pi hole, the dns sink hole) and a script to keep the logs in memory to not kill the emmc flash.

I tried to get it to boot off the sd card without luck. Any suggestions?
