Bence Szabolcs Posted December 2, 2019 Posted December 2, 2019 Hi, I have two questions: 1. Where can I download the latest image for my board? rom this forum entry I see there is no armbian image for the first Orange Pi? The link https://www.armbian.com/orange-pi/ doesn't work, as it redirects to https://www.armbian.com/orange-pi-plus/ which is definetly not the same (A20<>H3) 2. After doing a 'firmware upgrade' from armbian-config, it identifies itself as a Banana-pi. Is it normal? The MOTD is BPi and armbian-config shows BananaPi as well.
Igor Posted December 2, 2019 Posted December 2, 2019 If board is not officially support anymore we don't make (and spent time and $ on testing images) you need to build image on your own. This doesn't mean support is not existing or dead ... you just need to invest little of your time. Also kernel update will mainly work but if they don't (very rare), you are on your own. https://github.com/armbian You might need to use EXPERT="yes" parameter to gain access to not supported things. 8 minutes ago, Bence Szabolcs said: After doing a 'firmware upgrade' from armbian-config, it identifies itself as a Banana-pi. The MOTD is BPi and armbian-config shows BananaPi as well Yes, you can use Bananapi images but its recommended to define board dedicated DT tree by adding parameter fdffile=sun7i-a20-orangepi.dtb (something like that. check /boot/dtb) to /boot/armbianEnv.txt
