nick80 Posted April 2, 2020 Posted April 2, 2020 Hi friends, need for your advice and experience. How can i disable а boot from sd card after moving Armbian(latest vesion) to EMMC? My board is Orange Pi Plus 2e. I would like to use sd card in Armbian, but a boot terminated each time when a card is inserted. Any advice or a link? THANK YOU!
Артём Кудрявцев Posted May 2, 2020 Posted May 2, 2020 Probably you should get rid of the boot sectors of the SD card. Have you tried to completely erase the SD card, including the boot area (or just boot area)? Simple formatting logical drive will not help. See 'dd' command.
Werner Posted May 4, 2020 Posted May 4, 2020 If a SD card is present it will always override the eMMC. So the only way to use the SD card for other purpose as well is to put the bootloader on it that tells the board to continue from the eMMC module. The left space of the SD card can be used for something else. https://docs.armbian.com/User-Guide_Getting-Started/#how-to-install-to-emmc-nand-sata-usb
