So pratically this is the price to pay if I want an access point ? :( What I have to do ? I want insist because Igor and Tkaiser wrote me is a small issue , just remove and play with the SD card and else . This is a bug or not ? I'm using armbian on orangepi plus 2 , maybe the igorpecovnik/hostapd is only for other version ? ciao Walter

Igor
You don't need to recompile hostapd since you got latest already with armbian by default. It works out of the box.
xwalter
Really? So , with armbian 5_14 I just have to lint /etc/interfaces to /etc/interfaces.hostapd or else?
Igor
That's all. If you want an auto start, than you uncomment and put path to your conf file: DAEMON_CONF="/etc/hostapd.conf" in /etc/default/hostapd
