Armbian installation method for H96 H1/H2 colorfull edition required (with modified boot loader)

I remember some body on this forum was able to successfully install Armbian on the H96 colorfull edition with custom boot loader.

Starting this topic so people with knowledge can write and share the steps and required files.

maybe that was me - it was not the colorful edition but the h2 ... it is long ago, but i recently tried to dump my steps here: https://github.com/hexdump0815/u-boot-misc/blob/master/readme.rk3328-no-sd-boot ... in case you want to try it i can try to help if you have concrete questions, but you should be somewhat familiar with the steps described in the readme at least ... as i do not want to hijack the armbian forum for this it might be better to do any possible discussion as a github issue on that repo
