Orange Pi PC missing beggining of the sounds

Hi,

 

I installed Armbian image 20.8.1-focal-5.8.5 to Orange Pi PC. I am experiencing issues with playing sounds (tested with playing .wav files). Upon starting playback first 1-2 seconds are omitted and then sound plays as it should.

 

I didn't notice this issue on Xenial (3.4.113).

Has anyone managed to solve it?

isnt a new problem, but I didnt found also a actual solution  

 

I did use the little trick to play short "empty" .wav file, wait 2 seconds then play the .wav that should be played.
with that the amplifier is enabled (and in 2 secondes it doesnt go in sleep-mode again) so you will hear also the start of your .wav-file

 

aplay -D plughw:0,0 /tmp/empty.wav 2>/dev/null
sleep 2
aplay -D plughw:0,0 /tmp/espeak.wav 2>/dev/null

Thanks for reply. Do you know if all H2 boards are affected with this issue?
