Vin Posted January 23, 2021 Posted January 23, 2021 Hello everybody, im experiencing a similar problem. Sometimes my WD RED 12 TB HDD is not recognized in that slot its in, when i change it to any other it works again. Nevertheless it seems this problem doesnt only apply to one specific slot, but is changing from time to time. EDIT: The LED of that slot doesnt turn on, yet the drive starts and runs Do anybody experience the same problem, or know any help? Thank you in advance. Best Regards. 0 Quote
gprovost Posted January 28, 2021 Posted January 28, 2021 @Vin I think you issue might not be related to the thread. Most likely some bad physical connection, please check by opening the back panel that the HDD is well inserted in the SATA backplane connector. 0 Quote

SATA Ports are firm, also connection to the HDDs are proper. Just restarted and did a fresh install of the new februar update, two out of three HDDs are not recognized anymore, even though they were recognized before and have not been unplugged. 0 Quote
gprovost Posted February 8, 2021 Posted February 8, 2021 Which HDD (on which SATA port) are not recognized anymore ? Have you tried plugging the unrecognized ones in another slot just to check if it's an issue specific to one or more of the slots. 0 Quote
Vin Posted February 11, 2021 Author Posted February 11, 2021 Both, the affected HDDs and Ports are random Plugging them in another Port solves the problem, but they can get affected again at a later point, plugging them back to the original ports solves the problem. 0 Quote
