ngocdungvn Posted July 6, 2021 Posted July 6, 2021 I burn last version Armbian_21.08.0-trunk_Aw-h6-tv_buster_current_5.10.47.img to SD card but tanix TX6 only 2GB RAM detected. Please help me to get TX6 to detect 3GB RAM. Thank you very much 0 Quote
jernej Posted July 6, 2021 Posted July 6, 2021 According to https://linux-sunxi.org/Tanix_TX6 there are two versions of the box, 2 GiB and 4 GiB of RAM. RAM size detection code on H6 should be pretty solid these days, but if you really think you have 4 GiB version, open the box and provide clear images of both board sides. That way we could count RAM chips and check markings on them to manually calculate RAM size and if it's incorrect, to get at least some idea what could be wrong. P.S: Boards really do have 4 GiB of RAM, it's just that H6 can use only 3 GiB. 0 Quote

Version 21.08 detect only 2GiB RAM https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GHk22VIxoIU p/s: Version 21.08 cannot burn with dtb files 0 Quote
balbes150 Posted July 7, 2021 Posted July 7, 2021 Edit or delete the parameter (mem=2048M) from /boot/extlinux/extlinux.conf. It is used to limit the size of RAM to ensure that the system starts on any H6 models (there are models that cannot automatically determine the memory size correctly and do not start). 0 Quote

Thank you very much, my device detect 3GB RAM on Armbian last version. Hope for the future, Tx6 can detect its full 4GB of RAM. Thanks mod 0 Quote

It should say something like 4 GiB of RAM detected, 3 GiB used. That won't change, since it's impossible to use that extra GiB due to HW limitations. 1 Quote
