Skip login

I am trying to auto login to Armbian 21.08.2 on an AML-S905X-CC

 

I have found this link on the forum, but I am not following what I need to do to skip the login.

Or just by creating this file https://github.com/armbian/build/blob/master/packages/bsp/common/usr/lib/armbian/armbian-firstlogin#L393-L400 and changing $realusername with username you want that its logged in automatically.

I apologize for the late reply, had a family emergency and had to leave town for a few days.

I got it working thank you.

 

I also want to autostart a program once the desktop loads. On raspberry pi's used to edit the LXsession autostart. I can launch the program from CMD by just typing in the name foresight. I have never had luck getting to run correctly on boot with crontab for some reason.

 

Any tips would be greatly appreciated.
