X96 Max Plus with S905x3 4Gb RAM and 64Gb ROM

Hello @SteeMan,

 

I install armbian on X96 Max Plus with S905x3 4Gb RAM and 64Gb ROM, thanks a lot for your work, the ethernet and emmc install is ok, but NO audio?

 

I use meson-sm1-a95xf3-air.dtb and Armbian_23.02.2_Aml-s9xx-box_jammy_current_6.1.11_xfce_desktop.img

 

What dtb file I must use or where I can learn how to compile new dtb file?

 

Can I use emuelec dtb files?

That is pretty good.  Better than many tv boxes.

Have you tried all the meson-sm1-* dtb files?  The idea is to find the one that is the best fit for your hardware where there isn't an exact match in the linux kernel.

Maybe.  dtb files are kernel version specific (but not alot changes between linux versions) so if the dtb is from a recent linux kernel it may be compatible.  There would be no harm in trying.

Try with x96 air DTB which is perfect for your box. Moreover is supported in Linux. You only have to know if your box is a 100M or 1000M ethernet.

For the X96Max_Plus_2101W there exist no working dtb file in the armbian dtb folder.
