AetherSx2 - OpenGL is not supported. Only OpenGL 3.0 was found

I'm using the ps2 emulator and when I try to run a game I get an error message

"OpenGL is not supported. Only OpenGL 3.0 was found"

 

 

I'm using the version "Armbian 23.02 Jammy Gnome"

I've made a little progress - if you run

export PAN_MESA_DEBUG=gl3

prior to launching and switch to the software renderer you can at least launch games, but it'll run poorly.
