Regression: USB 3.0 port not working with kernel 5.10.160 ?

I think I found a regression:

 

It seems the USB 3.0 port is not working with kernel 5.10.160. It was working with kernel 5.10.110.

So I have two questions:

 

1. How do I file a bug-report ?

2. Linux 6.3 officially supports the rockchip-rk3588 (6.4 is out).  When can we expect a kernel update and which kernel version would that be?

I can confirm usb3 doesn't work with .160 kernel. Will try to fix it

As you can see perhaps some boards will boot and serial console will be working. If you are satisfied with this kind of official support, we can save a lot of time  

 

Linux 6.3.y is EOL BTW

 

There are some experimental builds around that are usable to some degree, but without any official support.

Well I just read this here: https://www.phoronix.com/news/Linux-6.3-Arm-SoC-Updates

Then checked /boot found 58 .dtb files for the rockchip rk3588/s.

Ran apt search for the Linux kernel and found I could install 6.2

 

Hence the question.

Even almost nothing usable works, when first bits of CPU support is merged to the Linux kernel, such news is produced. It can take years before chip is actually usable and sometimes support never become usable. Here this is not the case as its a popular chip and support is being developed, just procedure to get into the kernel is rigid, takes time.

 

Term "officially supported" by Linux is IMO very overrated and not sure this term exists at all. Armbian mainline based images for 3588 are floating around forums, but ofc no official supported builds with modern kernel yet.
