komendar
Hey guys, I have a Banana Pro and recently switched to Armbian from Bananian. I boot from an HDD connected to the SATA port on bpi. Apparently the root fs is supposed to get resized to the max size(1TB in my case) during the first boot. But, well, it didn't work for me.. so instaed of 1TB I had 1.5 GBs. I wiped the partition in fdisk and created a new one using the old starting block(2048) but leaving the end to default. Result: I now have all the space available to me but everytime I log in it still says "90% of 1.5G". Why doesn't it scale?I know this is kinda ridiculous but I'm a perfectionist haha. ____ ____ _ ____ | __ ) __ _ _ __ __ _ _ __ __ _ | _ \(_) | _ \ _ __ ___ | _ \ / _` | '_ \ / _` | '_ \ / _` | | |_) | | | |_) | '__/ _ \ | |_) | (_| | | | | (_| | | | | (_| | | __/| | | __/| | | (_) | |____/ \__,_|_| |_|\__,_|_| |_|\__,_| |_| |_| |_| |_| \___/ Welcome to ARMBIAN Debian GNU/Linux 8 (jessie) 4.7.3-sunxi System load: 0.74 Up time: 51 sec Memory usage: 6 % of 999Mb IP: 192.168.0.13 HDD temp: 36°C Usage of /: 90% of 1.5G storage/: 90% of 1.5G
Igor
We only take care of expanding SD card size at first boot. If you made some sort of upgrade ... than this is not the case. I suggest you to start with clean image ... BTW: next version will have an option to invoke disk partitioner if your disk does not contain partition ... but still, we won't deal with resizing. Perhaps once in the future upgrades.
komendar
But isn't there a way to set $root_total and $storage_total? Worst case could I simply edit the motd script to use a defined amount(like 933GB) instead of the variable? Thanks!
Igor
Those variables are calculated.
komendar
But why doesn't it use the new partition size? Is there anyway to make it display the correct size or am I basically fucked? Also thanks for the great OS!
