JimLill Posted August 30, 2023 Posted August 30, 2023 I built an image from source using compile.sh and assumed that the first time login credentials were root 1234 but they do not work. What are the correct credentials and/or where can they be sent when building the image? 0 Quote
SteeMan Posted August 30, 2023 Posted August 30, 2023 That is the default for armbian. What sbc are you working with? And just to confirm that you pulled the build framework from the official armbian sources? (Not one of the forks that may have different defaults) 1 Quote
JimLill Posted August 30, 2023 Author Posted August 30, 2023 (edited) root / 1234 also fails for me on the built images that are available for download?. I am using an OPi5 I have another one of those that installed Armbian sourced frrm the SBC site and that works fine along with a 3rd running ubuntu. The problem is only with images from this site. JimLill Posted August 31, 2023 Author Posted August 31, 2023 I have confirmed that 1234 is in the image I built by looking at the build logs. However, I still have the same issue with an image I download from this site. If I install Armbian from an image from the OrangePi site it does work, So something odd is going on that I'll have to work to debug I guess. 0 Quote
Solution JimLill Posted August 31, 2023 Author Solution Posted August 31, 2023 I found that I had to login in via HDMI and kbd first then ssh login went fine. Tested on legacy and edge builds 0 Quote
