Catalin Adler Posted September 9, 2023 Posted September 9, 2023 Hi folks, Can anyone confirm which if any boards / cpus have functioning HDMI eARC suport? I've seen OrangePI 5 mentioning they have support, but it's unclear if the software support is there in any way; i assume all rk3588 (or likley hdmi 2.1 certified) boards will have hdmi (hardware) support. Similar with Khadas VIM3L or VIM4; hardware support is mentioned w/o any clarity on the software support. Thanks! 0 Quote

We did some experiments for a client with Khadas Vim3l but we didn't proceed far due lack of funding. Remember that this is on experimental level and can't be used in production. Many standard features (such as video out) are missing in this (custom) kernel. Its not something you download, install and forget about. Not sure if we can support you in any way ... but you raise your chances if you support the project. Status with other SoCs related to this feature is unknown to me. On paper they all support everything ... Spoiler 0 Quote
