I can mount with sudo mount but when I start copying files system freezes and I have to power off board. I decided to give a try and formatted hard drive in Windows 11 (not quick format). You probably don't need 16 port USB hub which is on that list, but that will certainly work perfectly. If you go for some cheap variants, and most of hubs are a lot cheaper, you will be chasing luck. It sets 1.1 amper limit for a pair of USB-A connectors. Your WD Elements 25A1 draws upto 0.75A.
