ussich Posted February 8, 2017 Posted February 8, 2017 Hello to all. I'm trying to use the image Armbian_5.25_Orangepipcplus_Ubuntu_xenial_dev_4.9.4.img but I can not operate the webcam. With the image of the previous version, the webcam worked with gs2035 and vte_v42l modules, which can not find in the current image. Is it an omission or there are compatibility issues? Where could I find instructions (simple, if possible) to compile them? Thank you.
Igor Posted February 9, 2017 Posted February 9, 2017 Developing (Work in progress) mainline kernel has still very limited functionality. AFAIK if you want to use this camera, you need to write / port a driver. This is far for simple / just enabling it in config. Stick to legacy kernel when using multimedia functions.
