andrewufrank Posted November 3, 2015 Posted November 3, 2015 i just saw the new netinstall for raspbian - works like a charm and can be configured to produce a customized version. very small file to write to sd. could something similar be done for armbian? thanks a lot! andrew
Igor Posted November 4, 2015 Posted November 4, 2015 Armbian approach is little different because we also compile a dedicated / custom kernel and u-boot. Those things are at most important. You can easy issue and apt-get command or a script within image compilation process or later. I agree it's not the "Debian installer" way but it does the job. This is the build script: https://github.com/igorpecovnik/lib Armbian has already a very small footprint. You only get a carefully selected essentials - except desktop image but even that version doesn't have much stuff in it. All images comes with headers and are build ready.
