HansDampf Posted November 11, 2015 Posted November 11, 2015 May someone has a hint why i have following entries in /var/log/syslog ? Nov 11 09:13:14 localhost kernel: [37081.729830] PHY: sunxi_gmac-0:00 - Link is Down Nov 11 09:13:15 localhost kernel: [37082.729671] PHY: sunxi_gmac-0:00 - Link is Up - 10/Full Nov 11 09:13:35 localhost kernel: [37102.729868] PHY: sunxi_gmac-0:00 - Link is Down Nov 11 09:13:36 localhost kernel: [37103.729676] PHY: sunxi_gmac-0:00 - Link is Up - 10/Full These entries are right after a clean install. And why only 10? I get these entries again and again. After minutes or after hours. I have this entries on Debian Wheezy with 3.4.105 and now with 3.4.109 also :-( I use a Wlan connection and also a Lan connection. Can this be a problem?
Igor Posted November 12, 2015 Posted November 12, 2015 I never saw this - I would say it's some HW failure within your network. Check router, cables, get another board. Low speed indicates troubles / low quality link. BTW: Do you have a clean image? Did you only upgrade kernel and not u-boot?
HansDampf Posted November 12, 2015 Author Posted November 12, 2015 After my kernel update trouble ;-) i make a clean install. I also changed the Lan-cable twice. In my mind i do not have these trouble and messages from the beginning. The cubietruck is connected with my HTPC (Windows) with the Lan-Cable. I hope that is maybe the problem. So at the weekend i try to connect the cubie with my Router and check the Log messages. Thank you for yout input !
Igor Posted November 13, 2015 Posted November 13, 2015 Remember to update u-boot. That can produce such issues especially if you are still using some very old one.
