spottyrover Posted May 18, 2017 Posted May 18, 2017 Orange Pi Plus 2e How do I clone the SD card and both have boot capability? I am new to the concepts of Pi's so I am looking to slowly add abilities to the pi and have a working clone which I can use when I stuff it up. I have also seen no mention of grub being used anywhere. My main computer is a amd 64 with Debian running but I can use my laptop with win 8.1 on it but would prefer a solution which I can use on Debian Thanks for your help Dave
Igor Posted May 18, 2017 Posted May 18, 2017 Better to make a script of your work / changes and which you apply to the clean install, when needed. How to clone SD card. There is no GRUB on those boards.

You mean to select / boot into different systems at boot start like in GRUB? I don't know if this is possible with some menus and even it is, it would be limited to some boards, which can use modern u-boot. It can be done from user space + reboot. Not all boards are at the level, you started playing with - Orange Pi Plus 2e ...
